Truck Suspensions – Commonly used Suspension

The suspension and engine of the trucks are considered as the hearts of the truck. As powerful engines provide with greater load carrying and towing abilities while suspension gives improved productivity and efficiency of the product that is the goods can be easily transferred to longer distances. Cargo stability and comfortable drive experience can only be achieved with good and enhanced suspension which is assembled to the trucks.

Older suspension is still the favorite of many truckers all over the world as these suspensions are more reliable and durable compared to this generation. Older suspensions like MacPherson strut suspension are some of the most successful suspensions which are used even today.

Dependent Front Suspension is a sturdy suspension which is regularly used on trucks and cars. This suspension uses a single bar which is coined with leaf spring and shock absorbers.

Front Independent Suspension is considered as more enhanced and upgraded suspension. MacPherson strut is the most famous suspension in this category. This suspension is assembled with shocks or springs which is directly combined on to the steering knuckle and is connected directly to the chassis. This suspension allows superior handling and ride comfort.

Double Wishbone Suspension is supported precisely by separate A arm or double A arm suspension wherein the arms function independently.  These suspensions provide with greater stability when loaded with goods.

Twin I-Beam Suspension is equipped now days on every truck as this suspension provide with greater efficiency as compared to other trucks.  Rough terrain and heavy loads are not any big deal for this suspension. When loaded with cargo this suspension proves better efficient.

These suspensions are widely used suspension for trucks all over the world.
